In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander History Month, Enterprise Bank's Multicultural Alliance and Wellness Committee invite you to join us for this free virtual workshop on traditional healing remedies; Self-care with Spices. Adult life in current times is rife with responsibilities at work as well as home and the stress that comes with it. In the long list of chores and to dos, self-care often does not make the list and even if it does, it is usually relegated to the bottom. Self-care can be broadly described as all things you do proactively for your mental, physical, and emotional well-being. In this session, Pratibha Shah, Doctor of Ayurveda and a leading international Ayurveda expert, will share tips and guidelines about Self-care with Spices. She will talk about 5 potent, easily available, common spices, their therapeutic benefits and some simple home remedies that be made using them. Attendees will learn about the importance of self-care, the approach of Ayurveda to health and self-care, with a specific focus on the selected 5 spices. About the Presenter: Pratibha Shah is an internationally renowned Ayurveda expert, intensely trained in Traditional Health Sciences (Ayurveda, Energy healing) as well as Public Health. Pratibha distils Eastern wisdom with an understanding of Western principles, for the best care of her clients. Her pioneering initiatives in the field of Ayurveda, have brought her to the attention of the White House, the Department of Health and Human Services, as well as the Consulate General of India, NYC. With more than 30 years of clinical practice, she is one of the few holistic practitioners leading the effort of true integration, focused on client-centric wholesome care. She has been a trailblazer and an eminent Ambassador of Ayurveda in the West, teaching, practicing and promoting Ayurveda, while also working tirelessly on building bridges with main stream medicine practitioners and Institutes. For her work, she was nominated in the Top 20 Women of the Year, for the year 2014. Before moving to US in 2004, she was working as Chief Medical Officer with the Central Government of India, in the ministry of AYUSH.
