Dr. Shah is my teacher at the Boston Ayurveda School, and I was interested to have a consult with her for my son to address the root of the problem and not just take actions to mask off the symptoms when he had a flare up.

She was very careful in taking his history and showed genuine care. She recommended a protocol that showed significant improvements in his skin, and he has had NO ECZEMA FLARE UPs in the past 4 months.

Your diagnosis (diagnoses): Eczema

A brief history of your illness(es) along with duration and all you had tried before seeing Shah:

My 4.5-year-old son had Eczema since around 3 months of age. Saw several pediatricians and skin doctors, all of whom said this was common and that he will one day just outgrow it (or not). He was just given steroid creams and allergy medicines to mask the symptoms. It would get better for a while, then it would suddenly flare up again every 2 months or so.

Main symptoms you were experiencing:

Dry skin and itching, which caused the skin to be inflamed and to bleed, causing further discomforts and irritation of the skin. Sometimes accompanied by a runny nose.

Dr. Shah is patient and gives you her full attention. She shows she genuinely cares for the patient, which I feel makes a huge difference in the treatment itself.

She is quick to respond when needed, and was always there when I had questions.
